Default And you guys ride a ????

Well, there seems to be a "what do you ride" thread in the other forums, so I guess I'll get this one going.

The wife and I bought a Cannondale RT1000 last year. She wanted to share my passion for riding, but isn't comfortable with riding her own bike (and is also afraid of slowing me down, though I'd gladly do it to get her out there). The tandem is the perfect answer for both issues. We're working her into it. She's up to doing a 14 mile greenway trail here without being miserably uncomforatable, and her stamina has improved to the point that it is no longer the limiting factor on ride duration (just the saddle issues now, but I see improvement there with the new saddle we bought for her recently).

And you?

Geo,
We had the same problem the wife was not comfortable with riding her own bike (and is also afraid of slowing me down.) The tandem was the perfect answer for both issues. We purchased A Greenspeed GTT and she really enjoys riding again. One of her big issues of riding a upright was falling and the trike took care of that.

Default Help for stoker

We ride a Santana Cilantro. We bought it for the same reasons you have cited.

My stoker feels much better with the Thudbuster seatpost I installed, but we need to purchase her a new saddle. Any recommendations?

We ride a Cannondale RT3000 and a Santana Triplet. We plan to ride the TransAm on the triplet next May or possibly the following May from East to West. Of course there are three of us; me as Captain, my better half as first stoker and my 8 yr old niece as second stoker. We're taking 90 days to complete it, longer if needed.

We have ridden the Cannondale at RAGBRAI (several times), GRABAAWR (Wisconsin), CNC (North Carolina) in October, CANDISC (North Dakota), around Chicago (outskirts then into the city to Wrigley Field for some Cub games), and all over the Virginia tide water area.
